RECENT WORK:

HISTORY

December 96 - present: Freelance Lighting Cameraman. PSC and Studio, with some OB work (concerts, sport etc)

July 91 – December 96: BBC Outside Broadcasts. PSC and Multi-camera shoots. A lot of handheld work. [jimmy jib] [jimmy jib operator] [jimmy jib hire]

January 91 – June 91: BBC TV Centre Studios. Full range of shows, from big LE (Russ Abbott, Paul Daniels) to Blue Peter. [jimmy jib] [jimmy jib operator] [jimmy jib hire]

June 87 - December 90: BBC Pebble Mill. Initial training, and experience gained on everything from Daytime TV to Howards Way and All Creatures Great & Small.

Having been lucky enough to get training at the BBC after joining straight from school, I gained a wide experience using a variety of equipment before leaving at the end of 1996. Although nobody would ever say they don't enjoy the odd easy day, I am happiest when stretched, and like to get the most out of the equipment I am using. I particularly enjoy the small team work found on most PSC shoots, where ideas can be absorbed and input given from myself. The same is true when working on completely new studio shows, where problems are there to be solved. There is nothing creative about doing the same shots that somebody else did last week. It is making the shots work in the first place that is the difficult part. I find I have a good relationship with directors, and am known for my input into shows that I work on.
